BPC-157, tested by an independent U.S. lab.
Unlike the GLP-1 compounds, BPC-157 is not usually faked outright; the confusion around it is quieter than that. This fifteen amino acid peptide ships in more than one salt form, most commonly acetate and arginate, and the forms do not weigh the same, so five milligrams of powder does not mean five milligrams of peptide. Here is the part most labs leave out: a mass measurement cannot tell you which salt you were sold. The counterion comes off during the run, so the instrument reports the peptide either way. We report the peptide identity, quantity, and purity, and we state plainly that the salt question needs a different test. Identity, quantity, and purity are included in the base test. Endotoxin testing, sterility testing, and heavy metals testing are available as optional add-ons.

A named analyst prepares the run: dissolutions, dilutions, internal standards. Their initials go in the log.

HPLC-UV for purity, LC-MS for identity, and quantitative analysis for the amount present, with system-suitability standards bracketing your sample on either side.
Review.
A second analyst reviews the chromatogram independently. Nothing ships with one set of eyes on it.
Sign.
The COA is digitally signed, hashed, and published. Anyone with the link can verify the signature against the raw data.
What we look for in BPC-157
What the peptide is, and how pure.
Intact mass supports peptide identity, quantity reports the amount present, and HPLC-UV reports purity as percent area. Salt form remains a separate counterion question.
Missing residues.
Fifteen amino acids leaves room for a deletion, and a peptide short of one residue can still be reported as 98% pure by a purity trace. Mass catches it.
What we cannot tell you, and who can.
Which salt you hold is a counterion question, answered by ion chromatography, not by mass spectrometry. If the amount of peptide per milligram matters to your work, ask your supplier to state the salt form in writing and to show the counterion data behind it.
