Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Erie Coast Analytical LLC (“ECA,” “we,” “us”) for using www.erieanalytical.com and our testing services. By creating an account, placing an order, sending us a sample, joining our affiliate program, or using the site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. Questions? Email support@erieanalytical.com.
1. What we do
ECA is an independent analytical testing lab in Elyria, Ohio. For a fee, we test samples of research compounds, such as peptides, GLP-1 research compounds, and small molecules, that you send to us. Depending on the tests you order, we report identity (for example, by mass spectrometry), measured quantity, HPLC purity, and add-on tests such as endotoxin or sterility. We deliver results as a Certificate of Analysis (“COA”).
We are a testing service only. We do not make, sell, or supply any compound. We do not test human or animal samples, and we do not perform medical diagnostics. We are not ISO 17025 accredited, and we are not approved or registered by the FDA. We may offer, change, or stop any test, service, or feature at any time.
2. Who can use our services
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use our services. If you use our services for a company, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that company to these terms, and “you” includes that company.
You are responsible for making sure that owning, shipping, and testing your samples is legal where you are. We may refuse any order or sample for any lawful reason, including if we believe it is unsafe, unlawful, or outside what our lab can test.
3. Your account
- Give us true and current information, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud, or puts our staff, systems, or other customers at risk.
4. Sending samples
- After you check out, we email you shipping instructions, a packing slip, and labels. Label each vial as instructed and pack it so it will not break or leak.
- You pay for shipping your samples to us. You are responsible for any loss or damage in transit, and, if you ship from outside the US, for all export, import, and customs paperwork, duties, and fees.
- Send only the research-compound samples you ordered tests for. Do not send human or animal samples, controlled substances you are not legally allowed to ship, hazardous materials, or anything unlabeled or unsafe. We may refuse, hold, or destroy such items, and we may report them to the authorities when the law requires it.
- If a sample arrives broken, leaking, unlabeled, too small to test, or not matching your order, we will contact you. We may not be able to test it, and we may ask you to send a new sample.
- Samples are used up or destroyed during or after testing under our standard procedures. We do not return samples.
- Our typical turnaround is 24 to 48 hours from the day we receive your sample, not from the day you order or ship. Turnaround is a goal, not a guarantee. Delays can happen, for example from instrument problems, retesting, or high volume.
5. What results mean
A result describes only the exact sample you sent us, as it was when we tested it. It does not describe any other vial, lot, batch, or product, even one with the same name, label, or vendor. A result can be affected by how the sample was made, stored, handled, or shipped before it reached us.
All lab testing has limits. Each result has measurement uncertainty, depends on the method used, and can only show what that test looks for. A test that finds no problem does not prove a sample is safe, pure, sterile, or fit for any use.
If you believe a result is wrong, email us within 30 days of receiving it. We will review the raw data and, at our discretion, recheck it. If we find we made an error, we will correct the COA or retest at no charge, and that is your remedy for a result error.
6. No medical or legal advice
Our results, COAs, articles, emails, and chat replies are for information only. They are not medical, pharmaceutical, dosing, safety, or regulatory advice. A COA does not mean a compound is safe or suitable for people or animals, and we do not recommend using any compound. Talk to a qualified professional before making health decisions. You alone are responsible for how you use our results.
7. Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the site or in a written quote. Bulk and enterprise orders may have their own quoted prices and terms, which apply along with these terms.
- You pay when you place your order, by card through Stripe or by cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. Some business customers may be invoiced. Our payment providers’ own terms also apply when you use them.
- We begin work after your payment is confirmed. For crypto, you must send the exact amount shown, on the network shown, before the payment window closes. We are not responsible for crypto sent to the wrong address or network, or for network fees and price changes.
- You are responsible for any taxes that apply.
- We may change prices at any time. A price change does not affect an order you have already paid for. If a price on the site is clearly an error, we may cancel the order and refund you.
- Discount codes have their own conditions, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may end at any time.
8. Cancellations and refunds
- Before testing starts: you may cancel an order for a full refund by emailing us before any of its samples has started testing.
- After testing starts: fees for tests we have started or finished are not refundable, except as described in section 5 for our errors. If only part of an order has started, we may refund the tests that have not started.
- If we cannot test your sample: if we cannot test a sample for reasons on our side, we will refund that test or retest a new sample, whichever you choose. If the reason is on your side (for example, a broken, unlabeled, unsafe, or wrong sample), we may keep a fee for the work already done.
- Unused orders: if we have not received your samples within 90 days of your order, we may cancel the order and refund it, less any payment processing fees we cannot recover.
- How refunds are paid: card refunds go back to the original card through Stripe. Crypto refunds are paid by a method we agree on with you, in the US dollar amount you paid, not the coin amount. A full refund cancels any remaining lab work on that order.
- Please contact us before filing a chargeback or payment dispute. We usually resolve problems faster directly.
9. Publishing and certificates
- Your results are private by default. If you choose to publish a result to our public results archive, you allow us to show that COA publicly, including the compound and vendor names, for as long as it stays published. You can ask us to unpublish it at any time. Copies others have already saved may remain.
- Anyone with a COA’s order number and verification key can check it on our verification page.
- You may share your own COA in full. You may not edit, crop out, or misstate any part of a COA, use it for a different sample, lot, or product than the one tested, or say or suggest that ECA endorses, certifies, or approves any product or vendor. If you misuse a COA, we may withdraw it and close your account.
- Where you publish, mention, or name a vendor, you are responsible for what you say about them.
10. Affiliate program
- Joining the affiliate program requires our approval. We may approve, decline, suspend, or remove any affiliate at our discretion.
- You earn a commission on qualifying paid orders from customers you refer through your link or code. Your commission rate is shown in your affiliate dashboard. A commission is earned only after the customer’s payment is confirmed and we approve it.
- If an order is refunded, we reduce or cancel the commission on it. If the commission was already paid, we may take it back from future payouts.
- No commission is earned on your own orders, on fake or fraudulent orders, or on referrals obtained through spam, misleading claims, paid ads on our brand name, or cookie stuffing. We may withhold commissions earned that way and remove you from the program.
- When you promote ECA, be truthful, clearly disclose that you earn a commission, and follow advertising laws such as the FTC’s endorsement rules. Do not make medical claims or say that ECA endorses any product.
- You are an independent contractor, not our employee, partner, or agent. You are responsible for your own taxes, and we may ask for tax forms before paying you.
- We may change commission rates or the program, or end it, at any time. Changes apply going forward.
11. Live chat
Our live chat starts with an automated AI assistant. Its answers may be incomplete or wrong, and they do not change these terms, our prices, or any quote. Only a written quote or confirmation from our staff is binding. A staff member may read your chat and reply. Do not share health, payment, or other sensitive information in chat.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break any law, or use our services to help anyone else break one.
- Give false information, impersonate anyone, or place orders in someone else’s name without permission.
- Interfere with the site, test its security without our written permission, or try to get into accounts or data that are not yours.
- Scrape, copy, or collect data from the site by automated means, beyond normal search-engine indexing.
- Harass our staff or post abusive content in chat or messages.
13. Our content
The site, its text, design, logos, articles, methods descriptions, and software belong to ECA or our licensors. You may view and share them for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, sell, or use them to suggest that we endorse you without our written permission. “Erie Coast Analytical” and our logo are our trademarks. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
14. Disclaimers
We perform our tests with reasonable care, using the methods we describe. Other than that promise, and to the fullest extent the law allows, our site and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without any other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors. Articles and other educational content on the site are general information and may not be complete or current.
15. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- ECA, its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, inventory, data, or goodwill, even if we were told they were possible.
- We are not liable for any harm from using, selling, buying, or relying on any compound, including compounds we have tested.
- Our total liability for any claim about an order or our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the order the claim is about. For claims not tied to an order, it is limited to $100.
Some places do not allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud.
16. Your responsibility to us
You agree to cover ECA’s losses and reasonable legal costs from any claim by someone else that arises from your samples, your use or sale of any compound, your use or sharing of our results, your affiliate activity, or your breaking these terms or the law.
17. Governing law and disputes
Ohio law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please email us at support@erieanalytical.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Any lawsuit about these terms or our services must be brought in the state courts in Lorain County, Ohio, or the federal court for the Northern District of Ohio, and you and we agree to those courts. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead. You must bring any claim within one year after it arises, unless the law requires a longer period.
18. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell account holders by email. The terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order. Using our services after a change means you accept the new terms.
If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. These terms, our Privacy Policy, and any written quote we give you are the whole agreement between us about our services. Events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier delays, power or instrument failures, or severe weather, excuse delays they cause.
